Although I enjoy the holiday season, I would be lying to myself and everyone else if I said that the holiday season is a relaxing time of the year for me. Like I said, I do enjoy this time of the year, but that doesn’t mean that it helps to reduce my level of stress. In all honesty, the holiday season does a lot to increase my level of stress. As a result of all the obligations and responsibilities that I have during the holiday season, by the time that it is all over, I honestly feel like my tank of energy has been completely depleted.
Because I don’t want my holiday lag to continue over into the New Year and get things started off for me in the wrong way, I decided that the best thing I could do would be to take a vacation that’s actually relaxing. Since it’s a place that I know I enjoy visiting, I chose to go to Tampa for my post-holiday recovery trip. The fact that I’m going alone may seem depressing to you, but I could not be more excited about the fact that I’m going to be able to fully relax for multiple days in a row.
