Last year, I traveled to Florida to go to the Florida State Fair, which is held in the city of Tampa. Now, you may be wondering why I would travel all the way from Minnesota to Florida for a state fair. Well, unlike most state fairs, the Florida State Fair is an amazing experience. Not only does it attract visitors from all sixty-seven counties in Florida, but it also attracts visitors (like me) from all fifty states. This fair even attracts visitors from more than twelve different foreign countries!

This amazing state fair has been held in Tampa for over one hundred years. With nearly one hundred rides and shows spread out over three hundred and twenty-five acres, the Florida State Fair has something to offer everyone, which is why it’s been named one of the “Top 100 North American Tourist Destinations”.

If you decide to go to Tampa for this great experience, make sure you get a rental car. Having a Tampa rental car will ensure that you can easily get to the fair and back to your hotel. There will probably be a lot of traffic in Tampa, but a rental car will still be your best transportation option.
